2.4 Default File Locations

Blue Data Miner Analyzer

Blue Data Miner Analyzer is a CGI script that allow users to access, display,
analyze and graph relational database tables using only a standard web browser.
Accessible tables may be generated from a report using the Blue Data Miner
Extractor, or they can reside in a preexisting database management system (such
as Oracle or SQL Server). Blue Data Miner Analyzer connects to any ODBC-
compliant database, and ships with a variety of drivers.

You must install the Blue Data Miner Analyzer script on PC that has Personal Web
Server software such as installed. Blue Data Miner Analyzer is a Common Gateway
Interface (CGI) script that must reside in a directory that allows file
execution triggered from a web browser. CGI-BIN and SCRIPTS are common such
directories; each script is executed through a link on a web page.

The Installation program will create the following directories for the Blue Data
Miner Analyzer files:

C:\Inetput\WWWroot\BlueData\Image
C:\Inetput\WWWroot\BlueData\Templates
C:\Inetput\WWWroot\BlueData\Help
C:\InetPub\scripts\BlueData\Analyzer

The *.EXE files are the executable CGI scripts. BLUEDATA.INI is a text file
read by the Blue Data Miner executable to find the directory locations of
associated files.

The file BLUEDATA.HTM is a web page that provides a link to the Blue Data Miner
executables. By default, it will be installed into the following directory:

C:\InetPub\wwwroot\bluedata.htm

2.3.1 Modifying the BLUEDATA.INI file

above, you may have to make modifications to the file BLUEDATA.INI. Also,
BLUEDATA.INI will have to be modified selecting the various DataBase Types the
are to be processed by the Blue Data Miner Analyzer.

In order to make these modifications run the Blue Data Miner Analyzer
Configuration utility. There is a link to this executable from the Blue Data
